Performance Martial Arts Center is a martial arts studio geared to building a better community, one black belt at a time. They have graciously agreed to sponsor a book drive from the month of April to better teach their students the importance of giving back. 3/1/11 to 4/29/11 - San Pasqual High School's 2nd Annual Book Drive
San Pasqual High School is currently conducting a Book Drive till April 29, 2011. Several clubs and organizations are participating, including the Asian Club, which started the first book drive in September 2007.
If you have any children books to donate and you live in the San Diego area, please drop off the books at San Pasqual High School, 3300 Bear Valley Parkway, Escondido, CA. The Filipino American Lawyers of San Diego (FALSD) will be hosting a Happy Hour at Rock Bottom Brewery at 401 G St., San Diego, CA 92101 on Wednesday, March 23 from 6p.m. – 8p.m with hosted appetizers. At the Happy Hour, FALSD will gladly accept your donation of books for all ages (with an emphasis in children books), school supplies, and monetary donations on behalf of Bagong Kulturang Pilipino, Inc. WHAT? 10.10.10 - Make a difference... Event” We are commemorating the date by making it a significant day by making a difference. A simple deed of charity can make a big difference in someone's life. Come join us and remember this day by doing something significant in your life.

Stop by for 5 minutes to drop off or donate used children's books or hang around for a couple of hours to help sort, stamp and pack the books, to get them ready for shipping or just simply hang out, buy a shirt and join the shirt signing party with your friends.
HOW? Help to sort, stamp and pack books. Joins shirt signing to commemorate the event. Shirts are $10. each. Proceeds from the T-sjort sales will help pay for the shipping of the books.
